Where do EDGE coffees come from?
From the village of Riosucio, in the Caldas region of Colombia, right in the heart of the Colombian Coffee Axis.
What does specialty coffee mean to us?
It means respect for the coffee’s origin and being able to trace it back to its roots.
We select coffees that carry a story from the earth to the cup – careful processes, distinctive varieties, and skilled hands that understand the value of every bean.
For us here at EDGE, specialty coffee is not a luxury, it is the norm.
How does EDGE work with communities?
By building relationships that endure.
We purchase coffee directly from farmers under fair trade principles, support social initiatives, and seek to connect the culture and artistry of each territory with the global community.
This is about economic impact, for sure – but it is also about human dignity, visibility, and shared growth.
What happens when I buy an EDGE coffee product?
Your purchase becomes something larger than a cup.
It supports local producers.
It contributes to our social and educational projects, many of them within the context of post-conflict communities, both urban and rural. Amongst other work, we support local nursery schools and start-up entrepreneurial activities.
What is the EDGE Culture Store for Peace?
Our Culture Shop for Peace – soon to be launched via our website – brings together our coffees, our chocolates, our accessories and other artisanal products, all of them fashioned by hands that directly experienced war and conflict conditions in their country or region. The idea is to recover, to recuperate, to grow again, breath again.
Our Culture Shop for Peace is a store with a purpose and a mission – to work with local governments and entrepreneurs around the world to be a part of the re-build, an agent of change, towards a future characterized by positive, constructive activity and cooperation as opposed to war and conflict.
